Cancon is an accredited Distributor of ALL Arxx products and systems.

Insulated Concrete Forms

ICF's are blocks made of insulating foam that when assembled and filled with reinforcement and concrete form a wall.  An ICF wall is:  

STRONGER - reinforced concrete core.

HEALTHIER - does not support the growth of mould.  

SUPERIOR INSULATION - typically offering performance R ratings greater that 30.

QUIETER - sound transmission class of 55 < for a 6 inch core. 

COST EFFECTIVE - savings in reduced energy consumption and maintenance costs over the life of use.

  • Less space means savings on shipping and storage

  • Assemble at job site to form form desired core size and reinforcement layout

NEWSIP INSULATED PANELS

MagWall Structural Insulated Panels are an alternative to concrete foundations and ideal for above grade construction.  Made of rigid foam insulation sandwiched between magnesium oxide sheeting, the panels offer high fire resistance, good insulation, and do not support the growth of mould.  In many cases MagWall does not require drywall as the MagBoard sheeting is adequate to fulfill code requirements.

     15 Solutions MagWall Provides

1. Energy Efficiency   SIPs provide a higher True R-value due to less thermal breaks such as studs and airspace.
2. Fire Protection     MagBoard™ does not burn and does not provide any smoke in a fire.
3. Mold Resistance   NewSIP Panels are non nutrient and therefore do not provide any food to support mold growth.
4. Structural   In third party testing NewSIP Panels exceeded expectations in all axis.
5. Skill Level     Less skilled workers can be used to install panels due to the simplicity of assembly.
6. Exterior Sheathing     Replaces plywood, OSB, water proof drywall or a combination of structural and fire rated products.
7. Structural Support   Replaces wood or steel studs removing a good portion of the energy robbing thermal breaks.
8. Insulation   Provides a solid insulating blanket without voids and does not deteriorate or settle over time.
9. Vapor Barrier     Combination of the EPS and the joint sealant material provide a solid vapor barrier eliminating the need for Poly.
10. Interior Finish Sheathing   The interior MagBoard™ sheathing can be taped, sanded and painted similar to Drywall.
11. Cost     NewSIP Panels are priced similar to wood frame construction. Demographics affect this value.
12. Construction Time     While assembly time is consistent with wood framing the time savings start from there (Insulation, Poly and drywall).
13. Sustainability     NewSIP Panels are made with components designed to last. Any damage can easily be repaired.
14. Durability   MagBoard™ is resistant to construction related damage and occupant damage.
15. Safety   NewSIP Panels provide a healthier alternative and offer a significant increase in resistance to storm related debris.
